IMission and Governance

The program mission is written, current, and congruent with the parent institution's mission.
Governance documents (bylaws, organizational chart) show the program's clear authority over program affairs.
Mission and goals are reviewed on a defined schedule with stakeholder input.
Expected program outcomes are published and shared with stakeholders.

IIInstitutional Commitment and Resources

Faculty roster documents qualifications, rank, and workload aligned with program needs.
Budget documentation shows resources sufficient to achieve the program mission.
Clinical site agreements are current and cover capacity for enrolled students.
Student support services (advising, tutoring, technology) are documented and accessible.

IIICurriculum and Teaching-Learning Practices

The curriculum plan shows logical structure and sequencing from foundation to outcomes.
Course syllabi consistently map learning activities to program outcomes.
Clinical and simulation experiences are documented and evaluated.
A curriculum review process exists and has a record of acting on findings.

IVAssessment and Achievement of Outcomes

An assessment plan covers student learning and program outcomes with defined measures.
Aggregated outcome data (completion, licensure pass rates, employment, stakeholder feedback) are current.
Improvement actions are documented with owners, timelines, and re-measured results.
Assessment findings are communicated to faculty and stakeholders on a defined cycle.

Continuous obligations

Someone owns Continuous Improvement Progress Reports and their due dates.
The program can identify and report substantive changes per CCNE's process.
A quarterly evidence review keeps the documentation matrix current.
The program knows which standards edition (e.g., the 2026 revision) it is accountable under.

Our read: the unchecked boxes are the agenda, not the verdict. Work them in this order: Standard IV's improvement loop first (it is the hardest to fake and the most persuasive), then the evidence matrix from the documentation toolkit, then everything else. An honest gap with an owner and a timeline is accreditation strength.
