One family of independent sites for the nursing journey: plain-language guides to the NCLEX test plan, the Next Generation NCLEX item types, registration, an honest study framework, and interview prep — plus the working exam app and Nick, an AI study copilot who tutors Socratically instead of handing you answers. Everything is grounded in public, national data and original work. Nothing here is affiliated with any official body.
This site is unofficial: it is not affiliated with, sponsored, or endorsed by the NCSBN, Pearson VUE, AACN, CCNE, or any nursing program. The authoritative sources are always the official sites — ncsbn.org/nclex is the exam's home page.
The universe
Pick the topic you need. Every site links back here, and Nick answers on all of them from the same knowledge.
The working platform: original NCLEX-style practice questions across all 8 Client Needs categories, timed practice, study modes with spaced repetition, an item-writing academy, and nursing-school plus new-grad interview prep. Nick tutors inside the app.
Open the Exam Admin → For programsThe CCNE standards (I–IV) in plain language, a documentation toolkit for self-studies and evidence, and an interactive readiness checklist. Materials support documentation — Nick never declares a program compliant.
Enter the hub → One-pagersPrintable one-pagers for the NCLEX journey: registration checklist, test-day checklist, the 8-week plan on one page, and an NGN quick-reference. Print-ready, original, cited.
Browse the library → GuidesThe 8 Client Needs categories with their published percentage ranges, straight from the NCSBN test plan — what each area really tests, and where the points concentrate.
Read the guide → GuidesBow-tie, trend, cloze, and select-all-that-apply: what each item type asks, and how to approach it as a study strategy — never leaked content.
Read the guide → GuidesThe sequence from eligibility to Authorization to Test: your state board of nursing, NCSBN, and Pearson VUE — and what to do if something stalls.
Read the guide → GuidesOur synthesis of what works: phase-based, not hour-count-based, with weekly checkpoints so you know when to push and when to rest.
Read the guide → GuidesNursing-school and new-grad job interview prep lives in the exam app: scenario questions, structured-answer coaching, and Nick's mock interviews.

Accounts are activating soon. Student and faculty sign-ups are not open yet — until then, the exam app's guest practice runs with no account at all. Your progress stays on your device, and nothing is ever sold.
How it works
Nursing licensure runs on documents: the NCSBN test plans, the NCLEX candidate bulletins, AACN essentials. They are authoritative and, frankly, hard to read — scattered across PDFs, dense tables, and jargon. SI Nursing puts the working parts of those documents into plain language in one place, grounded in what the official sources actually say. Long-form pages carry inline citations to those sources, and where we synthesize, we say so explicitly: “Our read:” marks our interpretation. Nothing here replaces your instructors, your program's advisors, your state board, or the official exam sites.
Every exam fact cited carries a source. No school-internal data, no leaked questions, no confidential anything — only what's published and citable.
These sites give you the information to think clearly about nursing school and the NCLEX. They are not a substitute for your faculty, advisors, or the official guidance.
Official publications are summarized and paraphrased, never reproduced at length. The original document is always one click away, with links checked regularly.
